People Operations Specialist – DACH, BE & ES

Get ready to make a real impact in a certified B Corp as our new HR Operations Specialist by becoming part of our HR & Payroll Operations team, becoming the first point of contact for our store managers and employees in the DACH, BE and ES region.

Our HR & Payroll Operations team is responsible for ensuring all our employee data and records are in order, answering the wide range of questions from employees coming in daily and preparing the payroll inputs/outputs. Each person in the team has their own focus region but positivity, integrity, a strong eye for detail and passion for people is something that definitely characterises us. We are looking for someone who shares these characteristics but also adds their unique qualities to strengthen the team even more.

This role is full time, immediately available at our headquarters office in Amsterdam and reports directly to our Manager HR & Payroll Operations, Edel McSorley.

 You'll be...

  • The first point of contact for answering all HR related questions from employees and management in your region, and offering operational support:
    • Drafting contracts, change letters and other relevant employee documents
    • Supporting payroll by preparing the monthly changes and collecting all relevant documentation (e.g. joiners, leavers, changes, absence tracking) and processing these changes in our HR system HiBob and preparing payroll input for our vendors.
    • Proactively notifying and advising managers about people related matters, e.g. ending contracts, new laws & policies, sickness rates & protocols, health & safety compliance
  • Participating in a number of projects with your other colleagues from the People team to keep improving our services and procedures
  • A trusted advisor for the Store Managers in the region 

You...

  • Have 2 years’ work experience, but you don’t need any prior working experience in HR. Prior experience in retail is an advantage
  • Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant field.
  • Are fluent in English and native German speaker. Some knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
  • Bring a good understanding of Excel or Google sheets
  • Are creative and tenacious in improving processes and enjoy simplifying and optimising while creating great experiences for our employees
  • Have affinity with the scale-up culture and comfortable in a fast changing environment
