People Partner Retail - DACH, BE & ES

Get ready to make a real impact in a certified B Corp as our new HR Retail Partner by becoming the sparring partner for the Retail Director and Regional Managers, advising on all people matters related to our store employees working throughout the DACH / BE / ES region (currently around 300 people).

Our two HR Retail Partners are each responsible for their own region(s) but share knowledge and collaborate on people related projects. We are looking for someone who brings their own personality and unique qualities to the team, but positivity, integrity, a strong eye for detail and passion for people is something that characterises all of us and we hope this applies to you as well!

This role is full time, immediately available preferably at our headquarters office in Amsterdam (we also consider working fully remotely) and reports directly to our Head of People Partnering, Leonoor de Vries. 

You'll be...

  • A trusted advisor for the Retail Director and Regional Managers in your region

  • Supporting the Retail Director in regional workforce planning, identifying areas where we need to adapt and partnering with our Talent Acquisition team to support the region

  • The go-to person for all employment legislation matters in your region and will work with our legal team and outside sources to provide the best insights and solutions for the region.

  • Initiating changes in our handbooks and policies when appropriate

  • Leading a number of projects with your other colleagues from the People team to keep improving our services and procedures

  • Driving people-related initiatives, provide insightful data to guide decision-making, and provide proactive solutions

You...

  • Have 2-5 years of relevant experience in an HR related position where you worked with social legislation and general HR (administrative) processes, preferably in an international environment (knowledge of DACH countries, Belgium or Spain is an advantage)

  • Have completed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant field

  • Have basic knowledge about international employment law, retail specific is a plus

  • Are comfortable working with different HR tools i.e. HRIS, WMS, ATS

  • Are a strong communicator and relationship builder and have the ability to achieve results through coaching and guidance

  • Are creative and tenacious in improving processes and enjoy simplifying and optimising while creating great experiences for our employees

  • Have affinity with the scale-up culture and comfortable in a fast changing environment

  • Are fluent in English (knowledge of German and Dutch is an advantage)
