Payroll Specialist

Get ready to make a real impact in a certified B Corp as our new Payroll Specialist by helping 700+ employees (and counting) from 10 countries in Europe getting paid each month. 

Depending on your profile you'll focus on one of our key markets (Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Germany) and manage the payroll processes for a few of our emerging markets (Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Ireland).

This role is full time, immediately available at our headquarters office in Amsterdam and reports directly to our Payroll Manager.

You'll be...

  • Fully responsible for a selection of payrolls
  • Processing the monthly changes from HR, preparing the input for our payroll partners and checking the output
  • Guarding the payroll calendar and making sure to collect all input on time (e.g. worked hours from stores)
  • Analysing and understanding the monthly changes in the payroll output
  • Validating the monthly payroll output before the payments go to Finance
  • Completing payroll closing process, reconciliations, journal creation...
  • The point of contact for employees and (store) managers regarding all payroll related questions
  • Supporting with administrative processing of pensions, letters from (tax) authorities and other employee regulations
  • Checking local payroll legislation and collective labour agreements to ensure we are compliant
  • Assisting in resolving payroll and payment-related issues in a timely manner
  • Contributing to the implementation of a new workforce management tool

You...

  • Have a degree in HR, Finance, or equivalent professional experience in a payroll processing role - A degree in payroll services (PDL) is a plus
  • Have 1-4 years experience in an administrative payroll position, preferably in an international environment
  • Have very strong Excel skills
  • Pay attention to detail & have a problem-solving mindset while thinking outside the box
  • Have affinity with the scale-up culture and comfortable in a fast changing environment
