People Partner Retail - DACH & ES (German speaking)

Get ready to make a real impact in a certified B Corp as we’re looking for an experienced and hands-on People Partner Retail to join our People team. In this role, you’ll support our Retail Director and Regional Managers from the DACH & ES region as a trusted advisor across the full employee lifecycle—balancing strategic thinking with people advice and operational support.

You’ll work closely with our People Operations Specialist, who takes care of most contractual and administrative changes, and partner with our Recruitment and Payroll teams to ensure smooth and positive employee experiences across the DACH and ES region.

This role is immediately available for 36-40 hours a week at our headquarters office in Amsterdam (with a hybrid set up) and reports directly to our Head of People, Leonoor de Vries. 

You'll be...

  • A trusted people advisor and coach for the Retail Director and Regional Managers in your region
  • Driving people-related initiatives, providing insightful data to guide decision-making, and proactive solutions for better ways of working.
  • Leading core People processes for your region such as performance reviews & calibrations, salary cycles, and engagement surveys.
  • Providing guidance on HR policies and support changes where needed to improve alignment or compliance.
  • Managing employee relations issues, conducting thorough and fair investigations when needed.
  • Serving as our go-to expert on employment legislation in your region, working with legal advisors as needed
  • Supporting with non-standard HR admin such as parental leave, sick leave, and reintegration cases

You...

  • Have 2-5 years of relevant experience in an HR advisory/business partner position, preferably in an international environment. Retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Have solid knowledge of German employment law. Familiarity with Austria, Switzerland or Spain is an advantage.
  • Are comfortable working with different HR tools i.e. HRIS, WMS, ATS
  • Are a strong communicator and relationship builder who can influence and guide stakeholders effectively.
  • Are a process improver who’s proactive in making things simpler, better, and more people-friendly.
  • Have affinity with the scale-up culture and comfortable in a fast changing environment
  • Are fluent in German and English. Dutch is a nice bonus.
